Hey everyone! We have some exciting news for you. We’ve just released a new version of Taikun, and we’re super excited to share the details with you!
As our product evolves, we keep adding more features to help you quickly and efficiently manage your clusters. This release is not an exception: along with several significant updates and fixes to existing components, we are humbled to share the newest functionalities within Taikun.
The first thing we want to tell you about is our new feature that allows you to import private repositories containing your custom Applications into Taikun. This is a biggie because all your clusters can now enjoy both publicly-available and custom-developed applications without requiring manual installation. It has never been easier to install and update apps in all your Projects, regardless of their complexity and structure.
We’ve also added some updates to Application parameters: they can now be changed during the Applications’ installation or after. Feel free to change your parameters on the go if some manual tweaks are needed.
You can check the full list of editable application parameters directly on the App’s page within the Applications menu.
Another big change is the introduction of Demo Mode to Taikun so that you can see how it can manage Cloud resources without having to install anything yourself—kind of like a try-before-you-buy approach. Activate the Demo Mode in your Profile settings, and you will instantly see 2 test Projects automatically created within your account. Feel free to use those to play around, as they have all the same features as standard Kubernetes clusters with their own resources.
In addition to these changes, we’ve made several updates to Autoscaler to improve its logic when editing parameters; introduced updates that improve the security and stability of the Keycloak login mechanism; improved the validation mechanism when inputting data into Taikun; updated the current documentation structure; and fixed several bugs such as filtering application parameters and misconfigurations during images binding.
Enjoy your Cloud!
